Tosa’s Shiomaru uses seawater pumped from the sea at high tide and crystalizes by using with the power of nature’s sun and wind.
Unlike other salts, we do not use fire to boil and speed the process, so the process is time consuming, but the result is a flavorful and full bodied salt.
It takes about one month in the summer and more than two months in the winter to become salt!
The sea provides life and by creating this salt using natural process, you can enjoy the flavor that this source brings and taste the natural “sea”.
This salt is a versatile type with a slightly finer particle size.
It is especially great with rice balls, grilled fish, pickles, soups, sushi, salt sauce, and easy to blend with ingredients or easy to dissolve.
