This rare pickled plum from Wakayama Prefecture, is pickled with pesticide-free red shiso and discerning salt. This umeboshi comes from a specialty store that specializes in the cultivation and production of Nanko Ume, which you can now enjoy! As a pickled item, this umeboshi is sour, thick, and has a solid texture which is easy to bite and pairs with a variety of dishes or a simple bowl of rice. Each little umeboshi contains 17% salt content and about 20 grams in size. Compared to other umeboshi, the beautiful red color featured is natural with no additives and no chemical seasonings, resulting in a sour traditional shiso umeboshi with a rich red perilla aroma.
